The residential building consisting of two bodies and combined by a common lobby is situated in the second line of large block along Borisoglebsky Lane. Despite a relative preservation of the block perimeter, its internal fabric during 20th century was exposed to numerous structural deformations and it lost any clarity and harmony of the creation.

 

Therefore, by means of disposition, configuration and form of new building we tried to compensate for the existing defects of the block layout, having picked up the already formed directions and differentiating lines and having kept or having laid new ones which bring an order or organize a new intra block planning structure. The 4-storey building stands lengthways and in coordinates of the existing lane going deep into the block, and the other curvilinear building picks up another intra block direction.

 

The nearness of windows of the neighboring buildings dictated to create the irregular-shaped apertures in order to soften the opposition. The small courtyard between the buildings and the fence of adjacent estate is designed as a continuation of lobby interior.
