As attentive critics remarked, this project extended architectural forms and motives typical for our team.
Perhaps it is so thanks to our new colleague A. Yaralov joined the Bureau, and also because of the fact that all territory round the building was stuffed with chaotically laid underground communications which literally dictated its form.
An exotic name (“Gvozd” means Nail in Russian) which is thought up during discussions with the Client suggested an idea to use this name literally and from here the nails hammered into the house which together with its laconic but expressive forms resulted in the architectural image.
The image was pertinent and adequate in the landscape surrounding MKAD road with its continuous traffic, junctions of highway and motorway, road signs and billboards, but there were omissions in the project in respect of a lack of parking space and unsuccessful solution of entrance from highways.
