The new building at the corner of Butikovsky lane and Korobeynikov lane is extension of the building of UniCredit Bank (originally “International Moscow Bank”) which was also designed by Ostozhenka Bureauand constructed 15 years ago.
The new object is a completely independent structure. Physical connection between two buildings becomes apparent visually only by holding alley at the level of the 1st floor, though the underground levels areinterlinked through an entrance ramp that was planned initially.
The irregularity and double-materiality of glass-ceramic facades equally successfully enables without contradictions «to be connected» to completely dissimilar neighbouring buildings. Delaminating the volume at the intersection of two lanes and red-ceramic lamellae connect the object with red-brick wall of the bank and its «misaligned» upper storey by the same way as fully glass body of the building is connected with also glass neighbour in Butikovsky Lane. Ceramic cover by its slope conjugated the 6-floor height of the neighbouring building with the 5-floor height of the object corner.
