The project was in the process of developing for a long time, having outlived not only several clients, but also a change in architects’ views and the architectural authorities in respect of things which may be built in Moscow historical center. In the neighbourhood there are two residential buildings, designed by Sergey Skuratov Architects, which have been launched later, but completed faster and which according to Ostozhenka designers are more indifferent towards environmental approaches of the late nineties.

 

The contrast of these three objects standing on one small place creates illusion of time diversity of their formation. Today it is obvious that the concept of reproducing the red brick firewall of the technical school with the adjoining volume looks at most convincing and develops attractions of the embankment landscape. One can see that another variant - a narrow parallelepiped with rounded corners, in the literal sense continuing plastics, and character of the technical school building, would be even more convincing.
