The site for construction of the residential microdistrict does not have any urban-planning links with the townof Aprelevka, being cut off from it by Kievskoye Highway and surrounded with fields and dacha land plots. The project has an idea to create a neighborhood unit as a completely autonomous entity both in respect of the composition, and of the provision with infrastructure. Within the unit there are no streets. The residential environment is formed by three contrast spaces: a yard - the most private part, a half-closed space between two freely arranged chains of residential buildings laid out in square city blocks, and a space between them and perimeter of the site where public buildings are placed.
